Julie is a Stott Pilates certified instructor and is certified in TRX as well. Her passion for exercise and fitness began with dance at age 4. She expanded her activity level by playing for the soccer and volleyball teams throughout middle school and high school. She practiced speed skating as a hobby several times per week. Julie graduated from Eastern Michigan University obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science with concentrations in sports medicine/exercise physiology. She found Pilates to be a perfect combination of exercise and therapy. She currently works with all age groups including stroke victims, clients with MS and clients recovering from hip and knee replacements as well as rotator cuff injuries. Pilates is her passion because she has seen it transform so many of her clients.
Francesca developed a passion for health and fitness her junior year of high school. She started working as a Chiropractic Assistant at the age of 17. Working with people, watching them make progress and get stronger made her realize she wanted to work in the healthcare field. She attended Wayne State University where she focused her studies on nutrition as well as human and exercise physiology. She ultimately graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Psychology. Due to her own chronic pain and postural issues she began taking Pilates classes at SCS Pilates in March of 2014. Pilates finally gave her the relief she was looking for and she knew she needed to become certified. She finds that the Pilates couples very well with her Chiropractic work.
